Will I lose my files?
We back up first whenever the disk is readable, and tell you clearly if recovery is at risk.
Is it worth upgrading an old laptop?
Often yes. An SSD upgrade can make a 5-year-old laptop fast again. We'll tell you honestly when it isn't worth it.
