Restaurant POS support in Madinah

Dinner service is not the time to discover the kitchen printer has stopped. IT DAAM provides restaurant POS support in Madinah for restaurants, cafes and bakeries, covering the till, the kitchen, the card terminals at the table and the Wi-Fi your guests and your delivery tablets share.

Restaurant IT fails in a particular way: everything works at 4 pm and falls over at 8 pm when the place is full. We are reachable during service, we fix most faults remotely while orders keep flowing, and we do installs and changes after the last table has left.

Problems we fix in restaurants and cafes every week

  • Orders not reaching the kitchen. The waiter sends the order, the kitchen printer stays silent, and the dish arrives late. Usually a kitchen printer that dropped off the network or a till pointing at the wrong printer. We fix it remotely in minutes and set a backup route to a second printer.
  • Card terminal timing out at the table. Portable mada terminals that lose the Wi-Fi at the far tables, or a terminal paired to the guest network instead of the staff one. We give the terminals their own reliable network and test every corner of the dining room.
  • Delivery app tablets going offline. Jahez, HungerStation and the other aggregator tablets each want a stable connection. When one drops, orders are lost and ratings fall. We put them on the right network with a charger and a fixed place at the pass.
  • POS lagging when the place is full. Guests streaming on the free Wi-Fi can starve the till of bandwidth. We separate guest Wi-Fi from the POS network and cap guest speeds, so the till is never waiting behind a video.
  • Kitchen printer killed by heat and grease. Receipt printers above the grill do not last. We mount them where they survive, use the right models for a hot line, and keep a spare so a dead printer is a five-minute swap.
  • Menu or prices changed on one till but not the others. Items missing, old prices, a special that only one cashier can ring up. We check the sync between tills and the back office and make the menu one menu everywhere.
  • End-of-day report does not match the cash. Often a shift that was never closed, a refund rung up twice, or a terminal settled on the wrong day. We walk the cashier through the close and fix the setting that caused it.

What we set up and look after in a restaurant

  • Tills and ordering tablets. POS terminals at the counter, handheld ordering tablets for waiters, and self-order kiosks, all installed, charged and talking to the same menu.
  • Kitchen printers and kitchen screens. Kitchen order printers or kitchen display screens, placed by station, with backup routes so a dead printer never stops the kitchen.
  • Card terminals. Fixed and portable mada terminals on a dedicated staff network, tested at every table and on the terrace.
  • Guest Wi-Fi. A separate guest network with a simple login and bandwidth limits, so guests are happy and the till is never slowed down.
  • Delivery aggregator tablets. Each delivery app's tablet on a stable connection with a charging spot and a printer where it needs one.
  • Screens, music and cameras. Menu boards, the TV, the music system and the CCTV recorder on the network, so one engineer looks after all of it.

How fast we respond during service

We know service hours are evenings and weekends, so that is when we are reachable. An engineer replies within 5 minutes and most POS and printer faults are fixed remotely in about 15 minutes, with the till still taking orders.

For anything that needs hands, like a dead kitchen printer or a cable under the pass, we come the same day. New tills, network changes and menu board installs are done after closing, so your team walks in the next morning to a system that just works.

Questions restaurant owners ask us

Can you come after midnight when we close?

Yes. Restaurant installs and upgrades are usually done late at night or early in the morning so that nothing is touched during service. Tell us when the kitchen goes quiet and we work around it.

Our Wi-Fi drops every time the restaurant is full. Why?

Most often the access point is in the wrong place, or guests and the POS share one network. A short survey shows us where the signal fails, and splitting guest Wi-Fi from the staff network usually fixes the till lag the same day.

Do you support the delivery apps' tablets?

We make sure each tablet has a reliable connection, power and a place at the pass, and we fix the network when they drop offline. Account and menu changes inside the apps are done with the aggregator, and we are happy to help your manager through that.

Can you link the POS to a kitchen screen instead of printers?

Yes. Kitchen display screens replace paper tickets and show each order by station. We set up the screens, the routing from the till and a printer as a fallback.
